STAR: Please welcome back Jill Hennessy.
(Jill walks on stage.)
STAR: How are you? You look so pretty.
JOY: I love your dress.
STAR: Hey, you. I hear you think yo could hack into my computer.
JILL: Well, I do have a desire. And what's shocking is no one's even tried before. I couldn't believe it. I mean, I'm in the green room like, nobody's tried hacking into Star's computer? Come on, people, what are you doing?
STAR: Now don't give a challenge to the geeks out there.
JILL: I'm sorry.
STAR: Congratulations are in order and Joy says we never celebrate this. You and your husband Paolo just celebrated your 5th anniversary yesterday. There's a celebration. Jill and Paolo are still together. Now read about it.
JILL: Yeah. Thank you.
JOY: Would they ever put that in one of these rags? No, the wouldn't.
JILL: No, they wouldn't. The healthy functional family just doesn't make the news.
STAR: How'd you celebrate the big day?
JILL: We were on the plane with, you know, visions of being on The View, basically. Seriously, I actually was telling my son, I said, "I'm gonna be on the show with the ladies. So when you meet them you have to say, hello, ladies." So he's actually waiting backstage to meet you guys.
STAR: Oh, you should've brought him out here.
JILL: Well, I've been trying to restrain him. He's been trying to run out on the stage to say "ladies". We want to sort of save the camera time.
BARBARA: Speaking of, his name is Marco.
JILL: Yes.
BARBARA: He's 2 years old?
JILL: Two years old.
BARBARA: And I understand he's turning into quite the little traveller.
JILL: Yes, he's actually been to Canada, Mexico and Italy, so far. And he understands Italian. People in Italy were just, you know "Bonjour, bambino". One gentlemen actually stopped me and said in Italian to me, "Your son really has Richard Gere's eyes. I said, "Wow, thank you."
ELISABETH: I also hear he has an unusual obsession?
JILL: Many. It's strange what kids sort of come out with. He loves ghosts, he loves sharks. And he loves women. Another reason why he was so excite to come here.
JOY: Does he get that from your husband?
JILL: The women part definitely from my husband.
STAR: I hear he helps you with your personal training. How's that possible? He's 2.
JILL: Yeah, he sees me doing push ups at home and so consequently he'll start counting for me. "Ma, 1, 2, 1, 2." And he usually doesn't get to 3. So 1, 2 in repetition. And then he'll get on my back so I'm really getting a lot of resistance.
BARBARA: I want to ask you about your lifestyle because I know you live in LA but you also have a home in New York. And you have, I don't know the best way to describe it, kind of interesting neighbours?
JILL: Interesting? Yeah, yeah, I hope they don't mind me talking about this.
JOY: Are they famous?
JILL: Well, one to me is my mother-in-law.
BARBARA: And that's okay because some people would not like it.
JILL: Oh, I give thanks. It's the best thing that ever happened to me, this woman. And don't get me crying.
JOY: What's so great about her?
JILL: She's so amazing.
JOY: She cooks for you?
JILL: Well, she does that. One of the best cooks in the world but she's just one of the warmest people I've ever met. She's just my best friend.
BARBARA: And who's the other one?
JILL: The other one is Marlo Batali.
BARBARA: The chef.
STAR: Talk about cooking for you.
JILL: The hallway smells really good. All the time.
ELISABETH: I actually hear you've been locking lips with our good friend Josh Duhamel over at Las Vegas because your show has been crossing over to their show. And I just wanted to know how'd that feel because he's so darn pretty.
JILL: That was, uh, it's a tough job. They had to pay me a lot of money basically to do it. What's really hard about that is that Josh is not only the most good looking guy you'll ever see, he's so nice. Which is just illegal, it should work that way. And we did a long kiss and the director actually had to tell me to stop. Yeah.
STAR: Well, I'll tell you one thing, you've been doing very well on Crossing Jordan. Five years you've been doing it.
JILL: Five years.
STAR: Five years you've been married.
JILL: Thank you.
STAR: Five is a magic number. Thanks to Jill Hennessy. Crossing Jordan airs Sunday nights. You guys check your local listings for times.
